COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

COPD is a serious illness that can greatly affect your entire way of life, but, it doesn’t have to mean the end of enjoying your life. Together with your health-care provider, you can learn ways to improve your breathing and fitness and prevent quick and serious worsening of your disease. It takes a commitment to improve your health, and it takes effort to use your medicines and therapies correctly.

You might see the expression “people suffering with COPD.” Instead, we like to say, “people living well with COPD,” and this can be YOU.

For patients:

The CHEST Foundation and the American College of Chest Physicians have developed the following patient education resources to answer common questions and help patients manage their COPD.
